Theoretical Training Resources

 

The materials will be released on Monday of each corresponding week.

The links to the weekly Theory exam will be sent out by email each Tuesday; exam due Sunday.

 

Week 1: What is X-Culture and How It Works (August 24 – August 30)

Week 2: Global Virtual Teams (August 31-September 6)

Part 1: For all Students

 

Part 2: Not on the test for students 14 and younger, but highly recommended to all.
Parents and teachers, please help your younger students with these modules. 

 


 

Week 3: Online Collaboration Tools (September 7-September 13)

For Students

 

For Teachers, Parents, and Students who want to learn more

  • No separate readings, but please conduct a more thorough review of how the following tools work and be ready to help your kids/students/friends use them:
    • Dropbox
    • Google Docs
    • Doodle
    • MS Word Track Changes function
    • Closed groups on Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber
    • Trello
    • Slack
    • Basecamp

 


 

Week 4: International Business (September 14-September 20)

For Students 

  • A short video lecture that covers the basics of International Business (YouTube  icon-youtube-play  )
  • A short video on International Marketing and Communication (YouTube   )
  • Training Module 6: Basics of International Business (PDF  icon-download ). This training module is designed for older students. Students younger, please review but do not worry if you do not fully understand the materials. It has been designed for university students.

 

For Teachers, Parents, and Students who want to learn more

 

 


Practical Training

Students who have successfully passed all four Theory Tests will advance to the Practical Training phase.

The students will be placed in international teams. Each team will be comprised of 5 to 7 team members, representing different countries.

The teams will work on real-life challenges presented by our corporate partners.
