TRAVEL STIPENDS

The symposium attendees are expected to cover the registration fee and other travel expenses.

However, pending negotiations with the event sponsors, we may be able to offer small $500 travel stipends to the members of winning teams. The travel stipends will be in the amount of $500, which means they will not cover all expenses, but should cover a good portion of them. There is no application for the travel stipend. If we raise the necessary sponsorship funds, we will contact the members of the winning teams directly with the offer of the travel stipend. For now, when applying for the Symposium, please assume you are not receiving a travel stipend and must cover all your registration and travel expenses.

However, we will be happy to help you secure funding for your trip by writing support letters on your behalf for up to five potential sponsors. From our past experience, many students are able to receive support from their university or corporate sponsors in their community. If you plan to ask for funding from your university, employer, or other potential sponsors, we will write you a letter that details how important and developmental your participation in the X-Culture Symposium would be for your future career and professional growth and provide other details about the event.
