Socio-economic Bias: A study of perceived strengths and weaknesses based on socio-economic status

Ongoing Research Projects

The purpose of this study is to explore the biases people have based on someone’s socio-economic background. Are people that come from more wealthy families perceived to be more intelligent and better team members? If so, how are those biases impacted by various communication mediums such as virtual team platforms as opposed to face to face interactions? Furthermore, are these biases more prevalent in certain countries or regions?

The data fields used for this study will include but are not limited to socio-economic data, peer review results before and after projects, and forms of communication utilized by teams.
